    Altitude Considerations

Cusco sits at approximately 11,150 feet (3,400 meters) above sea level. Because this itinerary begins in the Sacred Valley, which is at a lower elevation, most travelers find the adjustment more comfortable. We recommend staying well hydrated and taking it easy upon arrival. Your itinerary is intentionally paced to support a smooth transition, and activity levels can always be adjusted during the planning process.
