Altitude Considerations
Cusco sits at approximately 11,150 feet (3,400 meters) above sea level. Because this itinerary begins in the Sacred Valley, at a lower elevation, most travelers find the transition more comfortable. We recommend staying well hydrated and taking it easy upon arrival. Your itinerary is intentionally paced to support a smooth adjustment, and activity levels can be modified during the planning process if needed.
